Parking Lot Design

The Parking Lot Design training series delivers a complete, hands-on workflow for designing functional, well-graded, and vehicle-friendly parking lots using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking. Beginning with surface modeling and grading fundamentals, the series guides you through creating and analyzing surfaces, building dynamic grading designs, and developing accurate parking lot geometry. It then advances into swept path analysis and intelligent parking layout design, teaching you how to evaluate vehicle movements, verify clearances, and design efficient parking configurations. By the end of the series, you’ll have the skills to produce practical, code-compliant parking lot designs that support safe, efficient traffic flow.

This live online series offers 2 four-hour courses. You can take both courses or just the one that meets your needs. Each separate course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk Civil 3D 2026 and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Prerequisite: Students should have a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.
