Autodesk Construction Cloud Using Real World Data

$525 per person (US and Canada)
8 CPC/CEU credits

Using Autodesk Construction Cloud effectively requires more than knowing which buttons to push in a sanitized example project. You need to understand how data Is going to be developed and move through your active projects, what problems you’re likely to face, and how to fix them when they arise. This class shows you construction best practices for using real world data in ACC.

This eight (8) hour course is delivered in four (4), two-hour long sessions that students can attend online, right from their own desk. A live instructor will explain the detailed functions, and address questions as the class progresses.

Recording: Registrants for this course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.

Must attend all four sessions.

Session 1: Model Coordination with Autodesk BIM Collaborate

  • Clash Detection: Learn to set up and manage coordination spaces and use automated clash detection to identify and resolve model conflicts before construction begins.
  • Issue Creation from Clashes: Practice creating and assigning issues directly from detected clashes, ensuring responsible parties are notified and can resolve the conflict.
  • Mobile Model Access: Understand how to publish and access 3D models from the field to review designs and solve problems on-site.

Session 2: Project Insights and Data Analytics

  • Dashboard Creation: Learn to create customized project dashboards to visualize key metrics, such as RFI and submittal cycle times, safety trends, and budget vs. actual costs.
  • Cross-Project Analysis: Utilize the executive dashboard to view data across all projects, enabling managers to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Report Generation: Master the creation of custom reports to share project performance with stakeholders and inform future project planning.

Session 3: Data Integration with Data Connector and Bridge

  • Data Extraction: Learn how to use the Autodesk Data Connector to extract and aggregate project data for use in Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI, enabling sophisticated analysis beyond the native dashboards.
  • External Data Linking: Master Autodesk Construction Cloud Bridge to create data links between multiple project hubs, allowing for secure sharing of information with subcontractors, designers, and owners while protecting proprietary data.
  • Data Standardization: Establish and enforce project standards and naming conventions at the account level to ensure data consistency, which improves the quality of data-driven decisions across your company's portfolio of projects.

Session 4: Historical Data Analytics and Forecasting

  • Benchmarking Performance: Use data from past projects to establish key performance benchmarks. This enables more accurate forecasting of resource allocation, budget, and schedules for new projects.
  • Risk Mitigation Analysis: Conduct diagnostic analytics to understand the root causes of past project overruns and delays. This allows for proactive risk mitigation strategies on future projects by identifying and learning from recurring problems.
  • Predictive Insights: Combine historical and real-time data to forecast future outcomes related to safety, budget, and schedule performance, enabling data-backed strategic decisions.
