Pressure Networks in Civil 3D

The Pressure Networks in Civil 3D course series cuts through the complexity of pressure pipe design and shows you how to model pressurized utility systems the right way. Instead of relying on workarounds, you’ll learn how to properly set up catalogs, parts lists, and styles, then build and edit pressure networks efficiently in both plan and profile views. From depth and design checks to sections and tables, this series focuses on practical workflows that support accurate modeling, coordination, and construction-ready documentation for real-world water, gas, and utility projects.

This live online series offers 2 four-hour courses. You can take both courses or just the one that meets your needs. Each separate course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk Civil 3D 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Prerequisite: Students should have a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D 2026.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.

4 hour course | 4 CPC/CEU credits

Designing pressure pipe networks in Civil 3D can be one of the most challenging tasks. This course breaks down the process by guiding you through setting up pressure pipe catalogs, parts lists, styles, and defaults. You’ll then apply those tools to create, label, and edit pressure networks in plan view, giving you the confidence to efficiently design water, gas, and other pressurized utility systems.

Session 1: Setting Up Pressure Pipes

  • Setting Up Network Catalogs
  • Building Parts Lists
  • Default Settings
  • Pressure Pipe Display Styles
  • Pressure Pipe Label Styles

Session 2: Pressure Networks in Plan View

  • Creating a Pressure Network from Objects
  • Creating a Pressure Network from Scratch
  • Labeling Networks in Plan
  • Editing Network Properties
  • Editing Pressure Networks in Plan
  • Editing Pressure Parts in Plan
