CAD for Construction Firms

CAD for Construction is a practical, two-level training series designed specifically for construction professionals who need to work with AutoCAD drawings, but don’t need to become full-time drafters. This course focuses on real-world construction workflows, teaching you how to confidently open, review, edit, and annotate DWG files for coordination, submittals, and as-built documentation. Starting with essential drafting and editing tools and progressing into annotations, blocks, layers, layouts, and scaling, the series equips you with the skills needed to make accurate updates, communicate field conditions clearly, and save time and cost on every project.

This live online series offers 2 four-hour courses. You can take both courses or just the one that meets your needs. Each separate course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk AutoCAD 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.
