Automating Survey Drafting in Civil 3D II

Building on basic survey automation, this course dives into advanced Civil 3D survey database processes that every survey drafter needs. You’ll learn post-processing techniques, managing point groups, correcting coding errors, creating surfaces, and leveraging survey queries and tools like Mapcheck and the Geodetic Calculator—enabling efficient, accurate, and automated survey workflows.

This course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

​Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk Civil 3D 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Prerequisite: Students should have a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.

Session 1: Post-Processing

  • Importing Survey Data
