Automating Survey Drafting in Civil 3D

The Automating Survey Drafting in Civil 3D course series is designed for survey drafters and civil professionals who want to dramatically improve efficiency through automated, field-to-finish workflows. Starting with survey database setup, field data import, and linework automation, the series builds a strong foundation for streamlining survey basemap creation. It then advances into post-processing, surface creation, quality control, and powerful survey tools such as Mapcheck and the Geodetic Calculator. Through practical, real-world instruction, you’ll gain the skills needed to produce accurate, consistent survey deliverables while reducing manual drafting time.

This live online series offers 2 four-hour courses. You can take both courses or just the one that meets your needs. Each separate course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk Civil 3D 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Prerequisite: Students should have a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.
