You’ve had initial success with Procore and have followed our suggestions and tips in the first and second blogs. We’re now on the long-term success and continuation of Procore within your company after a year. Here we start to see the biggest ROI on your Procore purchase due to the amount of automation and additional work Procore can do, all without hiring an additional employee.

As I mentioned in the second blog post, I would recommend continuing to have your focus group meetings. If these meetings are starting to become unproductive, you can change them to monthly or even quarterly meetings. It’s still incredibly important that you hear everyone’s feedback and have internal support for your staff.

Ensure Everyone Is following the Standard Operating Procedures

Your company has spent the time and resources to create a Standard Operating Procedure manual for Procore’s tools, however you still must ensure that all your employees are following it. It was a collaborative effort between everyone during the focus meetings. Remember, having an SOP in place minimizes errors, allows others to work projects more seamlessly, and improves communication among your company. After some time, you will notice that some individuals may not follow the SOP for some tasks. We’ve often found this is because they don’t know how that information is used or it’s too tedious for them. Further education and explanation on how that data is used and why they need to follow the SOP is the easiest solution and it works a vast majority of the time. If you notice many employees are not following an aspect or process completely, you may have to dig a bit deeper or perhaps change how the process works entirely. Construction is an evolving industry, and you need to be able to adapt to changes in the office just as easily as in the field.

Set Up Automation Within Procore

Using automation and automatic steps in Procore can make your project management more efficient and productive. Automation helps you simplify repetitive tasks, reduce mistakes, and save time. With Procore’s automation features, you can automate tasks like managing documents, approving change orders, and scheduling projects. This allows you to focus on important project aspects. Automatic steps in Procore create smooth workflows by triggering actions automatically based on specific conditions or events. This ensures tasks are done consistently and quickly, without needing manual work. Using the Invoicing tool as an example, you can automatically set up billing dates, send out emails to subcontractors asking to submit their Pay Applications due by a certain date, and have a review process all within Procore. No more sending out emails and reminder emails, compiling all of them into a folder on your server, and asking a Project Manager the status of them.

Procore Reports offer a multitude of benefits that make them an essential tool for effective project management. Firstly, these reports provide valuable insights into project performance, allowing you to track key metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. See how budgets are going, look at job profitability, and so much more. With customizable dashboards and visualizations, Procore Reports enable you to present information in a clear and concise manner, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders. Additionally, these reports streamline collaboration by providing real-time access to project data, ensuring that all team members are on the same page. Procore Reports also enhance transparency and accountability by documenting project progress, milestones, and financials, enabling you to easily monitor and evaluate project health. These reports can be generated on an as-needed or recurring basis.

It will make all employees’ day-to-day a little bit easier and more productive, so they can focus on providing a successful project completion.
