Surface Design in Civil 3D

The Surface Design in Civil 3D course series is designed for civil and site design professionals who want to create accurate, dynamic, and professional grading models using Autodesk Civil 3D. Starting with the fundamentals of surface creation, labeling, and component control, the series progresses into advanced grading workflows, including feature lines, grading objects, and subdivision design. Through practical, real-world instruction, you’ll gain the skills needed to efficiently model site surfaces, control grading intent, and produce high-quality grading and parcel deliverables with confidence.

This live online series offers 2 four-hour courses. You can take both courses or just the one that meets your needs. Each separate course is delivered in 2 two-hour sessions. A live instructor explains the detailed functions and addresses questions as the class progresses.

Note: Instructor will present using Autodesk Civil 3D 2026. Students who wish to follow along with instructor are encouraged to use the same version.

Prerequisite: Students should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Recording: Registrants for a course will receive access to a recording of each session for 7 consecutive days. Access will start the next business day after the session ends.
