In this tips and tricks video, we’ll show you a simple tool that most people don’t make use of in Bluebeam Revu. When you are working with a tool in a tool chest, you can create a legend of a specific shape(s) to the current document. This legend provides a quick view of the shapes used in that particular part of the design, along with the quantity needed. We’ll also show you how to customize the legend.

Hello,
How do I export my legend to excel?
Thank you,
Matt
Whatever is on your Legend also exists in your Markups List and that’s the easiest way to export it. Just use the Filter tools til only what you need to export is shown, then export to a CSV.
I also have this question. Exporting markups does not work, because it does not export summarized data (which is already in legend)
Not sure I’m following your question. I’ve never had an issue with exporting Markups from a file with a legend. Can you give us some specifics on what you’re seeing?
I believe the question is how do you (or can you) export the Legend that is already a summarized version of all your markups. There should be a simple way to export the table that was already created as the Legend rather than have to export the list of markups and manipulate the date to re-count what was already done in Bluebeam.
If I follow what you’re asking, you’d like a Legend that automatically tracks all markups instead of manually creating each time. You can do this in Revu by creating a consistent set of custom tools (something we help clients do all the time, so let us know if you need help), then building a Legend (standardized) from all those tools and then adding that developed legend back into the tool set. The defined legend will then automatically update/count any tool you add in real time.
